Apno Ke NaamA Tree Pledge
Remember someone you love through a living tree — one that grows, breathes and keeps adding to the world they left behind.

A living memorial
One name. One tree. A lifetime of green.
The idea
Many of us lose someone we love. We light a lamp, share a memory, sometimes plant a small tree in their name. Apno Ke Naam takes that one gentle step further.
It is a quiet way to remember them through a tree that grows, breathes and adds to the world they left behind — long after the lamp goes out. A photograph fades and a memory blurs, but a tree only gets stronger with time. It widens its shade, feeds the birds, cools the air and stands as a steady, living marker that someone was here and was loved.
Our manifesto
1,00,000
trees planted across India by 2035
That is the goal of Apno Ke Naam — one lakh native trees, each one planted in a name, rooted in Indian soil and cared for as it grows. Not a campaign that ends, but a movement that keeps adding life, shade and memory to the land, year after year.
Every pledge, every partner and every volunteer takes us one tree closer. It is an open invitation — to remember someone, to give back, and to leave the country a little greener than we found it.
How it works
Three small steps, one lasting tribute
Share the name
Tell us the name and a short note about the person you wish to remember. A few words are enough — a name, a date, a line that mattered to them.
We plant a sapling
A native sapling is planted at a partner site and tagged with that name — a real, rooted tribute placed in Indian soil and cared for as it takes hold.
Watch it grow
You receive the planting location and photos over time as the tree grows, breathes and gives back — season after season, year after year.
What you receive
A tribute you can hold and follow
A pledge is not a one-line donation that disappears. You get tangible proof and a way to stay connected to the tree planted in your loved one’s name.
A named certificate
A simple, dignified certificate carrying the name you chose and the note you shared — something to keep, print or pass on.
The exact location
The planting site and GPS coordinates of your tree, so the memory has a real place in the world that you can point to.
Growth photos
Pictures of your sapling as it establishes and grows, shared with you over time so you can watch the living tribute take shape.
Species & care notes
Which native tree was planted and why — the species, its role in the local ecosystem, and how it is looked after.
Why we do it
India needs more trees.
Memory needs gentle anchors.
The two ideas pair beautifully — and this is our quiet way of doing something useful with what we have. No noise, no spectacle. Just a sapling, a name, and time. As a company we would rather leave something living behind than another logo on a banner.
Part of a greener India
Every pledge is a tree rooted in Indian soil — a small, living contribution to the country we share, planted with the next generation in mind.
A greener India
Every pledge adds a native tree to the land — cleaner air, cooler ground and a small repair to the world.
A gentle anchor for memory
Grief needs somewhere to rest. A living tree becomes a place that stays, grows and carries the name forward.
A gift for the next generation
The shade, fruit and air belong to people not yet born — a quiet inheritance left in someone’s name.
Growing together
A movement is stronger together
Official supporterSamagra Shikshan Evam Vikas Sansthanhas joined the Apno Ke Naam movement
We are proud to have Samagra Shikshan Evam Vikas Sansthan standing with us — supporting the movement, helping us reach more communities, and adding their commitment to a greener, more rooted India. Their backing turns a quiet idea into a shared mission, carried by more hands than our own.

When people pledge
A tree fits every kind of moment
Apno Ke Naam began as a way to remember those we have lost, but a living tree belongs to every meaningful moment — beginnings and farewells alike.
In loving memory
Remember a parent, partner, friend or elder with a tree that keeps their name alive and growing.
A new beginning
Mark a birth, a new home or a fresh chapter — a tree that grows alongside the years ahead.
Milestones & anniversaries
Anniversaries, recoveries, retirements — quiet moments worth rooting into something lasting.
A meaningful gift
Give a tree in someone’s name instead of something that fades — a gift that gives back for decades.
Good to know
Questions, answered
Where are the trees planted?
Saplings go into verified partner planting sites across India — community land, nurseries and afforestation projects where they are cared for as they establish. You receive the location of your specific tree.
What kind of trees do you plant?
Native and regionally appropriate species only. We avoid ornamental or invasive plants, choosing trees that belong to the local ecosystem and support birds, soil and shade for the long term.
Will I know if my tree survives?
Yes. You receive photo updates over time as the sapling takes hold and grows. The whole point is a living tribute you can follow, not a one-time gesture.
Can I pledge for a living person or an occasion?
Absolutely. While many pledges are in memory of someone, a tree is just as fitting for a birth, an anniversary, a milestone or a heartfelt gift in someone’s name.
How do I start?
Share the name and a short note through our contact form. We confirm the details with you, plant the sapling, and send you the certificate, location and first photos.
